Along the way\, Smith has given countless public presentations in his relentless effort to promote Snowy Owl conservation.\n\nFour decades ago\, Dr. Stephen Kress founded Project Puffin with the goal of restoring Atlantic Puffins to Maine’s Eastern Egg Rock—a historical breeding site that had been empty of puffins for nearly a century. Deeply involved in the Connecticut birding community\, Sayers began to see a sharp decline in the local population of American Kestrels. Where and when you photograph birds in Massachusetts and what equipment is needed at each site. Plus some other locations in the US that you might want to visit. \nSection #3: You know what camera equipment to use and where to go to photography birds and other wildlife in Massachusetts. However what do you do with the hundreds maybe even thousands of digital photos? How to organizing them? For this section we will look at using Adobe Lightroom to help us with keywords and how to organization your photo/files. Along the way\, Smith has given countless public presentations in his relentless effort to promote Snowy Owl conservation.\nFour decades ago\, Dr. Stephen Kress founded Project Puffin with the goal of restoring Atlantic Puffins to Maine’s Eastern Egg Rock—a historical breeding site that had been empty of puffins for nearly a century. Thanks to Dr. Kress’ vision and more than half a lifetime of dedicated and tireless work\, he has done what many thought impossible: the Puffins are back\, and Eastern Egg Rock is once again home to a thriving colony of these delightful birds.\nTom Sayers is a retired schoolteacher and keen observer of the natural world. Deeply involved in the Connecticut birding community\, Sayers began to see a sharp decline in the local population of American Kestrels. In 2010\, Sayers took action\, launching a groundbreaking program to establish and monitor Kestrel nest boxes\, banding each year’s new birds. And it is the realm of one of the world’s most charming and iconic birds: the Atlantic Puffin. \nDuring the summer months\, Iceland’s round-the-clock sunlight allows us to see a panoply of birds which accompany the puffins in nesting frenzy. Come along with wildlife photographer Shawn Carey as he shares images and stories from his recent journey across Iceland. The varied environments of Mass Audubon’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary on Cape Cod offer a wealth of photographic opportunities and challenges. During this course\, participants will have an opportunity to visit a number of different habitats around the sanctuary\, while learning about your digital SLR camera and photo techniques. Birds\, dragonflies\, butterflies\, turtles\, and wildlflowers will be our subjects. \nEarly morning and late afternoon photographic sessions will be complemented by indoor class time that will cover a wide variety of topics in both photography techniques and the digital camera including camera function\, use of natural light\, depth of field\, shutter speeds\, white balance\, composition and the use software-based photo editing. \nUse of the instructors’ professional cameras and accessories will be encouraged; however\, participants need to supply their own Canon or Nikon digital SLR camera (no point-and-shoots) and have a working knowledge of their equipment.
