Another year has passed, Spring has arrived and with that the Barn Swallows are back at Mass Audubon Daniel Webster Wildlife Sanctuary (DWWS) for a second year. They are once again nesting in both observation blinds and offering great views and photos. (more…)
Some of you may have seen the recent news stories about the senseless slaughter of Snowy Owls at JFK airport. Thankfully, the Port Authority has agreed to work with the Department of Environmental Conservation to relocate Snowy Owls captured at New York and New Jersey airports.

And here’s a video recorded last Sunday on a very overcast day just before sunset while sitting in my vehicle. The owl sat on the ledge looking towards the ocean for almost one hour before taking flight. Enjoy.
